My Horrible shopping experience at Journey’s Kidz
I had a horrible shopping experience while vacationing back home at the Journeys Kidz at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I was there at the mall just killing time with friends between the hours of 2-4pm on Saturday, May 4th. I walked into the store to see if I could find a pair of cute Chuck Taylors for my daughter that’s expected to be here in September. Instead, the very opposite happened. I was never greeted with any kind of customer service, or even helped. When I waited patiently for assistance, I was ignored by three sales associates to my face. The worst part is, the ladies weren’t even doing anything. They were purposely being rude.
I like stores like Journeys and Underground Station because of their sneaker selection. They have more of an artistic style of inventory vs. athletic. Their shoes fit my personality. I made it to journeys and found exactly what I was looking for. I absolutely loved these sneakers. After browsing for a while I walked up to the counter where there were three sales associates standing by the register doing nothing outside of holding a “deep” personal conversation. I had the shoe in hand. I was set to buy it if it came in a smaller size. These ladies looked at me for a second and then continued on with their conversation… All I wanted was a smaller size, not an ass kissing. When is the customer right these days?
I was having a great day prior to entering the store. I had found the perfect pair of sneakers for my unborn but because of poor customer service and rudeness, I left empty handed, offended, and slightly hurt. I did not get the ladies complete attention until I put the shoe back and left out with an attitude. I can’t lie, I did the “black girl neck roll”. They’re lucky I didn’t have gum to pop. After this experience, I think that it is safe to say that I will not be patronizing this establishment anymore. It’s sad because this was one of my favorite shoe stores.
