Flintstones Chewables for Prenatal Health
I posted this picture of my prenatal vitamins on Instagram and caused a frenzy. Causing an outrage was far from my intentions. My doctor told me that I could take 2 – 2.5 Flintstone chewables to replace my regular prenatal vitamins. So far, baby and I are pretty healthy.
When I first got pregnant, I tired the horse vitamin thing and nearly killed myself. I made a doctor’s appointment and asked my doctor flat out: “Do you have anything else I can take because I am not swallowing these horse pills?” I was told that the Flintstone Chewables are just as good. The only difference is that you have to double the dosage.
When you think about it, it makes sense. The prenatal vitamins are indeed for the mother but mainly for the child. Children’s vitamins… Developing baby. Hmmmmm. It actually makes sense to me. After some of the responses (which I thought was cute by the way), I went online to do further research. Pregnant women all over are taking Flintstones chewables for prenatal vitamins. The nurse at my doctor’s office told me that she took Flintstones when she was pregnant with both of her kids. Some women do them because they cannot physically handle the horse pills. A lot of women get sick off of prenatal vitamins, especially early on in their pregnancy. The only negative information that I found was about Flintstones were the gummy vitamins. Those do not have enough nutrients in them. With the correct dosage of my chewables, I get just the right amount of vitamins daily.
I appreciate everyone who showed concern on Instagram about Baby Evelyn’s health. I was very touched. Baby and I are getting top prenatal care and all the correct about of vitamins and nutrients. We are fine.
